Hi. If you didn’t know already, this is Christianna. Photo and editing by your’s truly.

Christianna and I recently had the pleasure of working with Rosewood Boutique’s owner Kathryn Richardson, model Madisyn Fecko, and makeup artist Krystle Owens to create a tasteful yet elegant 2012 Holiday Lookbook. Kathryn opened up Rosewood Boutique in March 2011 and then a second store in August 2012 with sister in-law Genna Gerstenberger. Christy and I would like to personally thank Rosewood for the opportunity to be a part of their fashion endeavors. Keep posted for some sneak peaks to start popping up.
Make sure you stop by their blog and show some love! I’ve posted the link below.
As always, thanks for looking!

Christianna Razete and I have started a new adventure! As you can see, she’s the subject in a lot of my photos, as we are braving this journey into photography together. We’ve joined up and would like to introduce to you NECTAR photography. Here are previews from a recent shoot we’d like to share with you. MORE TO COME STAY TUNED!
And as always, thanks for looking.

Playing around with Christy… we felt we were in a creative rut. I’m experimenting with different editing techniques, especially when it comes to skin retouching. I’m really pleased with the results in the photo below. I’ve used a technique called “frequency separation” in Photoshop in which you separate the “tones” of the image from the “textures” by layer. This allows you to blend and correct blemishes, discoloration, fine lines and wrinkles without losing pore and fine hair detail. It’s very easy to do.

Both my sister-in-laws graduated this Spring! Brianna from Robert Morris University and Christianna from High School. I took my camera along for some good ol’ fashion fun. Congrats girls!

Two previews from an upcoming set…

An afternoon with Josh Vish, interesting to say the least. I’ve known him for a long time now, which helped me capture the personality that is Josh Vish. What a conversationalist and talented story-teller. This was a first time experience for me. When I say that, I mean I’ve never worked a portrait session where my model has entertained me and done most of the talking! He elaborated on stories of personal failure and triumph, happiness and sadness and spirituality. This was enlightening for me, and helped me really capture him in a different way. It can be difficult to capture more than just the face and body of your model… but I can say this was quite easy for me, having such an animated and raw subject to work with.
I tried to convey a side of him that most of the world might not see. Beautiful, sad, vulnerable, and ecstatic just scrape the surface.
Thank you for being so patient while I finish Josh’s set, and thanks for looking.

I can’t put into words how excited I am to finally release these. I’ve spent a lot of time working on each piece to make it unique. I’ve ventured into a new area of editing… and I love the results. With this set, I wanted to convey a dreamy, airy, whimsical theme but keep the serious and dramatic theme as well. Here are the results. Thanks for looking!

Just a peek!
